Why shouldn't your ceremony be personal too?
A Celebrant led ceremony gives you full spectrum of choices. As an independent celebrant, I am not bound by legislation. I do not have to use sanctioned or licenced premises, I am not governed to a certain time of day and I am not limited to certain words, religious content or who is involved in the ceremony.
In fact, you can have what, who and whenever you wish. Even how you are announced, called and referred to. As society is adapting to the wide range of pronouns we have, sadly the Marriage Act law has not progressed that far yet.
Although I live on the coast, nothing can compare to woodland areas, forests or public gardens. Maybe you or a family member have a beautiful garden or piece of land.
Living close to the Suffolk border add some beautiful countryside options, including Constable county.
A celebrant led ceremony can be as immersed in nature as you wish.
We have some beautiful beaches in the UK, but the weather means the call for beach weddings are low. The result is that being able to marry on the beach here in Essex is not allowed.
Choosing a celebrant led ceremony means you can choose places that are not licenced.
As someone who spent her teenage years living on the beachfront, I know how beautiful and soothing it is.
Some castles, like Colchester Castle, have been licenced to hold wedding ceremonies, but what about the smaller castles - the lesser known or even the derelict ones? By choosing a celebrant, you open the possibilities.
Compared to other parts of the United Kingdom, we do not have as many castles. But those we do have are lovely.
Although if you fancy a castle in Scotland, I know several, and am always up for a Scotland excursion.
